Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe section and Clallam County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan draft for public review:
The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe along with other entities in Clallam County (Tribes, cities, fire districts, etc.) have been working to create more uniform hazard mitigation strategies for our area. In 2018, Clallam County Emergency Management began the process of developing a Hazard Mitigation Plan Update. The Hazard Mitigation Plan identifies potential disasters and vulnerabilities, natural and human caused, that we may face. It then describes these situations and a host of mitigation strategies that can be used to deal with them. Public participation is an important part of developing a Hazard Mitigation Plan, there were multiple public input forums along the way. Today we have a final draft of the plan and would once again like public input.
