Notice of PRICE Grant Application
The Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe will be applying for the Preservation and Reinvestment Initiative for Community Enhancement (PRICE) grant. Manufactured housing encompasses an estimated 20% of our current JST homes and 17% of all tribal housing nationwide. With approximately 68,000 new units being needed to eliminate housing overcrowding in tribal areas alone. Our intent is to provide relief to manufactured homes on tribal properties, and in turn, allocate otherwise used resources to other in-need areas of JST housing. We aim to create continuous enhancement in our efforts to maintain and rehabilitate all properties. Regarding safety, energy efficiency, and overall environmental impacts that affect all tenants’ homes and their families. This grant has great potential to provide a much-welcomed relief to many other current and future housing projects.
Persons desiring to comment on this application should submit comments in writing to the Jamestown S’Klallam Housing Department.
